Job Description
As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise-level web applications on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform code checks, debugging, and refactoring of existing application source code
- Design, develop, and test new enhancements based on business requirements
- Write clean and well-designed code
- Design intuitive web applications that enhance user experience
- Participate in requirements gathering and UI prototype workshops
- Participate in peer reviews
- Maintain proper documentation
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Fix defects identified during testing
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of assigned tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant technical experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience building enterprise-level software applications using VueJS, PHP Laravel, and MySQL
- Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools, and web services development
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Knowledge or experience in AWS and NGINX is an added advantage
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices
- Experience using tools such as JIRA and GitHub
- Ability to write maintainable and tidy code following coding standards and best practices
- Understanding of software qualities such as Application Security, Maintainability, and Scalability
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a logical mindset
- Proactive self-starter who takes ownership and works independently as well as in a team
- Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience conducting code and peer reviews
- Must be proactive, hardworking, and able to meet project deadlines
