Job Summary

The PIE Manager (Equipment & Maintenance) will lead the maintenance engineering function in a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and operational efficiency. This role requires a degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 10 years of technical experience (5 years in manufacturing). The manager will oversee a team of engineers and technicians, drive cost control, spare parts management, and safety compliance, while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills are essential to minimize downtime, optimize processes, and support longterm operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance engineers and technicians
  • Assign tasks, provide training, and evaluate performance to maintain productivity and quality
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans and schedules
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
  • Utilize maintenance management software to track work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources
  • Oversee inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and systems to maintain functionality
  • Develop and enforce maintenance procedures to extend equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns
  • Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or servicing
  • Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with established protocols
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction
  • Implement best practices and innovative technologies to drive operational excellence
  • Foster innovation and encourage team members to contribute ideas for process and workflow enhancement

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years of technical experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing plant
  • Knowledge in rotating equipment, automation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Planning, managing, and handson experience in preventive maintenance, equipment repair, maintenance management, and spare parts management
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, leadership, and people management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and AutoCAD
  • Team leader able to inspire confidence, collaborate, and influence across the organization
  • Effective written and verbal communication with all levels of management and external contacts
