Job Description

Work Location: Johor Bahru

We are seeking an experienced Planner & Scheduler to manage and optimize logistics operations for high-tech / data centre clients. This role combines administrative duties with the responsibility of ensuring the smooth functioning of the WMS, optimizing warehouse processes, providing user support, and ensuring efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in warehouse logistics, WMS administration, and a strong focus on process improvements.

Key Accountabilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate and support the physical movement, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse.
  • Supervise the efficient flow of materials and products through receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices in the warehouse.
  • Manage inventory control and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational demands.

2. Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits to ensure adherence to operational procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system logs and documentation for audit purposes.

3. Data Management and Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of WMS data, including inventory levels, movement tracking, and order status.
  • Generate regular operational and inventory reports, providing insights on performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Support the development of customized reports and dashboards for management decision-making.

4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT, warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to align WMS operations with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with IT on system updates, troubleshooting, and integration with other systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse operations and IT to ensure clear communication and prompt resolution of issues.

5. WMS Super User Support & Management

  • Serve as the WMS Super User, providing expert support to end users and ensuring effective system utilization.
  • Troubleshoot WMS issues, identify root causes, and work with relevant teams to resolve them efficiently.
  • Configure WMS settings to align with operational and business requirements.
  • Train warehouse staff on WMS processes, functionalities, and updates.
  • Act as the main point of contact for WMS-related queries and ensure timely issue resolution.

6. System Optimization and Process Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate WMS performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations and IT teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Recommend system enhancements or upgrades to improve accuracy, reduce costs, and optimize operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree in Administration, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with hands-on experience in WMS.
  • Proven experience managing WMS platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and distribution processes.
  • Proficiency in data management, reporting, and WMS-related tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
  • Experience in training users and supporting system adoption
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Willing to support during weekends, or on call if required
