We are looking for an experienced Plant Process Engineer to support our HyCO (Hydrogen / Syngas) facilities across Southeast Asia. This is a key regional technical role that drives plant reliability, safety, and performance for our hydrogen and syngas assets.
Job Description
- Provide process & plant engineering technical support to HyCO/SMR/PSA units across SEA
- Lead productivity & asset management projects to improve efficiency, cost position, capacity & reliability
- Troubleshoot plant upsets, product supply issues, reformer/PSA performance, and optimization opportunities
- Support capital projects including capacity upgrades, energy improvements, start‑up & commissioning
- Drive energy efficiency monitoring and year‑on‑year performance improvement
- Provide Advanced Controls (MPC, APACS) tuning & optimization support
- Conduct technical & safety reviews for MOC, OPHR, and process safety compliance
- Support RCA investigations, BSP safety leadership, and turnaround activities
- Review monthly plant performance and maintain process data in PPM/Qliksense
- Deliver process training for plant operations teams across the region
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
- 5 years experience in Process Engineering and/or Operations (required)
- Strong background in hydrogen, syngas, HyCO/SMR/PSA/PHG, or complex chemical plants
- Proven experience in process troubleshooting, optimization, APC/DCS tuning, reliability & efficiency improvement
- Familiar with HAZOP/OPHR, MOC reviews, and RCA
- Experience in Large SMR operations, H₂ PSA, or PHG is a plus
- Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia/Mandarin is a plus
- Willing to be based in Banting with travel across Southeast Asia
