Responsibilities
The Test and QA Engineer, PLM Systems will be responsible for all testing and release verification aspects of our enterprise-wide PLM solution ensuring it aligns with the system's functionality, reliability, and alignment with business needs. Here's an overview of these roles and their responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for PLM applications. Development and system testing environment setup
- Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success.
- Create detailed test cases and scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure test coverage for all system components and integrations.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to validate system functionality and performance.
- Execute regression tests to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes.
- Create system test plans, test strategy and test cases, Review testing results against specs, track issues
- Validate solution in the Dev and Testing environments.
- Create delivery patches and make available for deployment team.
- Execute technical risk mitigation actions in coordination with Functional analyst
- Writing and run Test Case & Generate test report.
- Communicate and explain bug / issue during testing to development team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/BS with 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science fields.
- 7 years of experience in PTC Windchill PLM Testing and QA roles.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript can be useful for developing test scripts and understanding system integrations.
- Strong proficiency in PTC PLM applications, including Windchill premium, Advance modules, Thingworx, Creo, SUMA and, and Reporting.
- Proven experience in dealing with large-scale complex PLM IT projects, including testing, and deployment.
- Strong understanding of Engineering, Suppliers, Quality, Reliability processes such as CAD, Part, BOM, Doc, Issue, Audit, Compliance, Reports management capabilities
- Experience with data integration and interfacing between PLM and other enterprise systems.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing, is essential. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks is beneficial.
- Great understanding of process improvements using Six Sigma methodologies.
