Role Description The Portfolio Monitoring & Value Creation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for monitoring portfolio performance, analysing financial and operational metrics, and preparing regular reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. The manager will work closely with investment and portfolio company teams to identify value creation opportunities, design and track strategic initiatives, and support cross-border expansion plans. Daily activities include conducting data-driven analyses, monitoring KPIs and compare actual performance against targets and industry benchmark, prepare regular reports and business reviews, and ad-hoc performance updates. The role also involves collaborating with senior management to develop best practices, enhance portfolio monitoring frameworks, and support exit readiness and value realisation.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data, build models, and generate actionable insights.
  • Experience in project portfolio management or similar roles, with the ability to prioritise initiatives, manage multiple projects, and track progress across portfolio companies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear written reporting, presentation capabilities, and stakeholder management across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Program management experience, with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, establish milestones, and drive execution to completion.
  • Solid finance knowledge, preferably with exposure to private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or investment analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in investment firms, consulting, or corporate strategy roles is highly beneficial.
  • High level of integrity, ownership mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; tech-savvy finance professional who is familiar using AI technology to automate, compile data and build finance dashboard.
