System Validation Engineer (Post-Silicon)
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on System Validation Engineer to support post-silicon system-level validation activities. In this role, you will be responsible for validating system configurations and ensuring platform stability from system firmware through operating system levels.
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to execute validation plans, analyze issues, and drive resolutions across hardware and software boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute system-level validation and regression testing for post-silicon platforms
- Validate system configurations and ensure stability from firmware/BIOS to OS levels
- Perform manual and automated regression testing
- Triage and analyze regression failures, identifying root causes
- Generate clear validation status reports and regression indicators
- Set up and configure systems under test (SUT), including CPU, DIMM, NIC, and other components
- Install, configure, and validate BIOS and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Troubleshoot system and hardware-related failures
- Monitor and maintain system health during validation cycles
- Maintain lab equipment and keep inventory organized
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support execution and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- Good understanding of PC architecture and familiarity with modern x86 processor platforms
- Experience in system-level validation, post-silicon testing, or platform debugging
- Hands-on experience with BIOS installation and Windows/Linux environments
- Ability to set up hardware platforms and perform system bring-up
- Familiarity with regression testing methodologies and failure triage
- Experience using hardware debug tools such as protocol analyzers or oscilloscopes is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-motivated team player, able to work independently when required
Experience Level
- Fresh graduates or engineers with up to 7 years of experience in post-silicon validation, system testing, or platform debug are welcome to apply.
