The Role:
- We're hiring an candidate works with the Power Optimization team, a key department of the Power and Performance Optimization group. Focused on mobile and desktop platforms, the role centers on providing specialized engineering expertise in power consumption and battery life management. The core objective is to deliver high-quality power assessments for the company's products and platforms, ensuring optimal power efficiency and performance across its tech portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Execute MSFT ADK tests to evaluate product power performance against relevant standards.
- Carry out power characterization plans specifically designed for power management features.
- Set up systems and power measurement equipment to build and maintain a robust automated test framework.
- Automate test cases and maintain test scripts to enhance the efficiency and scalability of testing processes.
- Support root-cause analysis for abnormal power and performance behaviors, while documenting standardized test methodologies for future reference.
- Conduct regression testing on key power and performance KPIs, and compile detailed reports on test results.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Around 2 years of hands-on working experience in the computer semiconductor field.
- Familiar with semiconductor test and measurement equipment.
Preferred experience:
Knowledge in x86, CPU architecture and software applications.
Knowledge of semiconductors test and measurement equipment ACADEMIC.
