Role Description The Preferred Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Kinabalu, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of preferred banking customers. The role involves providing personalized financial advisory, promoting suitable banking and wealth management solutions, and ensuring high service standards to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Day-to-day activities include regular customer engagements, reviewing financial needs, cross-selling products, monitoring account performance, and responding to inquiries and issues promptly. The Preferred Relationship Manager will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of customer transactions and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, while actively identifying opportunities to expand the preferred customer base.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with high-value clients.
  • Solid understanding of retail and preferred banking products, investment and wealth management solutions, and basic credit knowledge.
  • Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and the ability to meet performance targets.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess customer financial needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Proficiency in using banking systems, CRM tools, and standard office software for reporting and portfolio management.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, or related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in relationship management, preferred/priority banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
  • High level of integrity, adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, and commitment to delivering inclusive, non-discriminatory service to all customers.
