Presales Application Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Presales Application Engineer role based in Shah Alam. The Presales Application Engineer will provide technical support to the sales team by analyzing customer requirements, proposing suitable pump and system solutions, and preparing technical proposals, specifications, and cost estimates. Daily tasks include reviewing tender documents and drawings, and coordinating with engineering and service teams to ensure solution feasibility and accuracy. The role involves responding to technical inquiries, performing basic application sizing and selection, and supporting site visits to understand operational conditions and customer needs. Maintain updated product and application knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement of presales tools and documentation.

Qualifications

• Candidates to utilize engineering fundamental know how to do selection, precosting, preparation of quotations, reverting of technical clarification and submission of tender within deadline.
• Candidates should possess mechanical engineering skills related to pumps, fluid dynamics, rotating equipment, and system design.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and service teams, and to manage multiple presales activities within deadlines.
• Prior experience in pumps, industrial equipment, or fluid handling systems is an advantage.

Remuneration

• Basic Salary with commission is given. 13th month contractual bonus, Performance Bonus with KPI achievement, Incentives are entitled.
• Internal and overseas training provided.
