Job Description

As a Pre-sales Consultant, you are the critical technical and strategic bridge between our sales team, our product portfolio, and the client's business challenge. Your primary focus is to drive revenue by building compelling use cases with our portfolio and identifying untapped market opportunities.

Your deep expertise in IT security and comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity products will be essential in developing tailored solutions and directly enabling the sales team to secure and expand business across the region.

Job Responsibilities:

A. Strategic Engagement & Market Development

  • Use Case & Opportunity Identification:Proactively research industry regulations, emerging threats, and technology gaps tobuild compelling, high-value use casesandidentify potential market opportunitiesfor new product adoption.

  • Strategic Collaboration:Work closely with the sales leadership to align technical solutions withrevenue goals, contribute to territory planning, and prioritize opportunities based on technical and business viability.

  • Technical Content Creation:Drive the creation of influential internal content, including technical presentations,solution briefs, and competitive analysis documents, to enable the sales team and position the company for key deals.

B. Technical Consultation & Deal Closure

  • Solution Architecture:Lead the technical design process, collaborating with the sales team to translate complex customer needs and business objectives into effective, scalable cybersecurity solutions from our portfolio.

  • Customized Demonstrations & POCs:Design, develop, and deliver bespoke product demonstrations andProofs of Concept (POCs)that precisely align with the client's architecture and specific requirements, proving the solution's tangible value.

  • Expert Consulting:Serve as the technical authority in client discussions, responding to complex inquiries, addressing technical concerns, and building the necessary confidence to secure client investment.

  • Proposal Management:Manage and create the technical sections of proposals, tenders, and Requests for Information/Proposals (RFIs/RFPs), ensuring clear alignment between the proposed solution and client requirements.

C. Public Engagement & Thought Leadership Readiness

  • Subject Matter Speaker:Be capable of serving as a company spokesperson and subject matter expert for presentation opportunities. This includes the readiness to present at industry conferences, partner-organized events, and webinars,as required by the company's marketing and sales calendar.

  • Knowledge Transfer:Clearly articulate complex security challenges and our solutions to broad, technical, and executive audiences, enhancing the company's technical authority when representing the brand publicly.

D. Continuous Development & Enablement

  • Internal Training:Conduct technical enablement sessions for the sales team and channel partners, ensuring they are fluent in product updates, competitive positioning, and new use cases.

  • Market Intelligence:Maintain expert knowledge of the latest developments in IT security, cybersecurity threats, and competitor offerings, incorporating this intelligence into all presales activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of IT Security, preferably with hands-on experience in implementing and managing cybersecurity solutions.
  • Proven track record in a pre-sales engineering role, ideally within a cybersecurity distribution company or a technology vendor.
  • Deep knowledge of various cybersecurity products and technologies, including but not limited to encryption & data security suites (on-premises, cloud), mobile security, application security testing, hardware security module (HSM), certificate authority (CA) & certificates management, and high-performance authentication engines.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practice will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and address customer challenges using our product portfolio.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and teams.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed for pre-sales activities and presentations.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK or vendor-specific certifications are highly desirable.
