Press & Die Maintenance assistant manager

As the Assistant Manager of the Press Department, the role involves maintaining, inspecting, and adjusting press machines and dies to ensure part and product quality. The position also includes managing materials and dies, overseeing external vendors, and coordinating production schedules. Quality control responsibilities cover analyzing defects, proposing improvements, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Additionally, the role involves workplace safety, improving work procedures, and supervising and training staff, with the expectation of eventually managing the entire department.

Press & Die Maintenance-related Tasks

Operate press machines and perform daily inspections and maintenance

Conduct regular maintenance of dies, repair worn or damaged areas

Assemble, adjust, and replace die components

Troubleshoot issues in the press processing line

Assist and check the barrel polishing process

Verify processing accuracy (dimensions, surface finish, etc.)

Production & Outsourcing Management

Manage procurement and inventory of dies, parts, and materials

Supervise and monitor progress of external vendors (e.g., die manufacturers)

Inspect and confirm quality of parts delivered by vendors

Create preparation schedules for parts and dies according to production plans

Quality Control

Inspect and measure parts and finished products (burrs, dimensions, surface finish)

Analyze causes of defects and propose improvement measures

Ensure compliance with customer specifications

Safety & Work Management

Manage safety for press and polishing operations

Store and manage tools and dies

Ensure compliance with work procedures and propose improvements

Staff Management

Supervise and guide subordinates

MUST TO HAVE:

-At least 10 years of experience in press processing at a metal parts manufacturer (motorcycle, automobile, or home appliance components)

-Management experience

-Experience in die (mold) maintenance

-Experience operating and maintaining press machines and related equipment

-Experience in quality control and inspection in a production environment
