CEVA Logistics is looking for an experienced Pricing & Solution Design Manager – Ground & Rail to lead pricing and solution design activities across Singapore and Malaysia.
In this role, you will work closely with Business Development, Procurement, Operations, and other key stakeholders to develop competitive and innovative Ground & Rail solutions, improve business win rates, enhance profitability, and deliver high-quality responses to customer RFQs, RFIs, and tenders.
You will combine commercial acumen, pricing expertise, analytical capability, and solution design knowledge to develop solutions that are both competitive for customers and commercially sustainable for CEVA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end solution design process for Ground & Rail services, including solution design, costing, risk mitigation, proposal development, and final sign-off.
- Develop cost models and pricing proposals and present solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with the Business Development team to develop innovative and competitive solutions for new business opportunities, tenders, and RFQs.
- Lead the business solution process by understanding customer requirements and developing appropriate solutions, cost models, pricing, proposals, and customer presentations.
- Work closely with Procurement to ensure robust and competitive pricing for new business opportunities and contract renewals.
- Respond to RFIs, RFQs, tenders, and transactional enquiries within required timelines.
- Follow up on submitted proposals, conduct post-mortem analysis, and maintain a centralised database of pricing and proposal information.
- Analyse underperforming contracts based on profitability, yield, volume, and freight mix, and develop appropriate action plans.
- Develop strategies to reduce revenue leakage, including general rate increases, accessorial charges, fuel surcharge (FSC), and rebate mechanisms.
- Build analytical models and analyse contract, transactional, and operational data to support fact-based commercial decisions.
- Monitor pricing performance against targets, budgets, and actual margin impact.
- Implement and support the adoption of global pricing tools, methodologies, and best practices within the country.
What We're Looking For
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain, consulting, and/or manufacturing.
- Relevant experience in transportation and business analytics.
- Experience in pricing, solution design, commercial modelling, or logistics consulting is highly advantageous.
- Candidates with more than 10 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Ground & Rail transportation and logistics solutions.
- Understanding of warehousing, transportation systems, supply chain design, industrial engineering, and integrated logistics.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, cost modelling, P&L structures, and commercial concepts.
- Proven experience in developing pricing solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to analyse operational and commercial data and translate insights into business decisions.
- Knowledge of transportation optimisation tools or TMS is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
