Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Planning & Pricing Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur. While the primary focus of this role is Strategic Pricing, you will also be deeply involved in broader Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities.

You will be responsible for analysing market trends to set competitive prices, while simultaneously driving the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting, and identifying cost-reduction initiatives. This role acts as a commercial partner to the Sales team and a financial steward for the organization, ensuring that pricing strategies align with overall profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Finance & FP&A Foundation: Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience in identifying cost-saving opportunities is a plus.
• Pricing Aptitude: Ability to analyse cost structures and market data to recommend pricing strategies that protect margins.
• Analytical Curiosity: A natural data-miner who enjoys digging into numbers to find trends, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Growth Mindset & Personality: A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong willingness to learn specialized pricing models. We value the right personality and potential.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work across departments (Sales, Operations, and Finance) and present financial insights clearly.
• Technical Basics: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc) and a general comfort learning new ERP or BI tools (Power BI).
• Education: Bachelor's degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken) is required to effectively communicate with specific stakeholders
• Experience: At least 12 years of experience in a finance-related role. Prior experience in pricing or FP&A is an advantage, but not mandatory
