Primary Equipment Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer (Primary Equipment) responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Distribution Primary System. The Maintenance Engineer (Primary Equipment) reports to Maintenance Manager.

Job Description

Duties or Scope of Work include:

• Maintenance of Distribution System Primary Assets
• Management and supervision of Contractors working on the maintenance of the Distribution System
• Review, maintain asset record and primary maintenance activities record include cable route record.
• Monitor and analyses primary equipment performance.
• Investigate, trouble shoot, analyses and repair primary equipment failure.
• Procurement of materials, spare parts and services required for the operation and maintenance of the Distribution Primary System
• Liaison with network and operation control in matter relevant to primary equipment
• Liaison with NUR Consultants and Contractors involved in capital projects.
• Liaison with Customers and Customer's Representatives as required (including potential customers)
• Liaison with Engineering Department on project commissioning and takeover matter
• Preparation, implementation and review of Distribution Maintenance Procedures and Standing Instructions
• Management and maintenance of Distribution tools & equipment apply for primary equipment.
• Ensuring safe working and compliance with Distribution Safety Rules
• Conduct safety audits
• Do standby duties if required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in operation and maintenance of an electric distribution network.
• Registered with BEM.
• Registered with ST as competent person would be a merit.
• Computer literate, familiar with MS Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
