About Infosys Consulting and Workforce Transformation
Infosys Consulting is the global management consulting arm of Infosys, helping organizations navigate large-scale digital and business transformation. The Workforce Transformation (WX) practice partners with clients to reimagine how work gets done — spanning organizational change management, AI-driven future of workforce (operating model and organization design, workforce planning, and workforce transition), and AI-driven learning journeys. As a Principal, you will be a senior, client-facing leader who shapes and delivers this agenda while helping grow the practice.
Role Summary
The Principal is a senior delivery and business leader within WX, accountable for leading complex Organizational Change Management (OCM) engagements end-to-end, while building broader capability across the Workforce Transformation portfolio. This role combines hands-on delivery leadership with a strong business development mandate: leading proposal development and pitches, and continuously identifying and converting opportunities to expand Infosys Consulting's footprint within existing and prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Change Management (OCM) Delivery Leadership
- Change strategy and planning: Lead the design and execution of end-to-end change management strategies and roadmaps aligned to program objectives and business outcomes.
- Change impact assessment: Direct the identification and analysis of change impacts across people, process, and technology, and translate findings into actionable mitigation and adoption plans.
- Stakeholder engagement: Design and lead stakeholder engagement strategies, including stakeholder mapping, influence analysis, sponsor coaching, and change network / champion models.
- Interactive and creative communications: Oversee the development of compelling, audience-tailored change communications and campaigns (including interactive and creative formats) that drive awareness, understanding, and buy-in.
- Training and adoption: Guide training needs analysis, learning and adoption strategies, and reinforcement mechanisms to sustain behavior change.
- Readiness and resistance management: Establish change readiness assessments, resistance management approaches, and metrics/dashboards to track adoption and benefit realization.
Cross-Pillar Workforce Transformation Knowledge
- AI-driven future of workforce: Bring working knowledge and, ideally, hands-on experience in target operating model (TOM) design and organization design, workforce planning, and workforce transition, and connect these to the OCM approach on engagements.
- AI-driven learning journeys: Understand how AI-enabled learning and capability-building approaches integrate with change and adoption strategies.
- Integrated advisory: Act as a connector across WX pillars, ensuring OCM work is designed coherently with future-of-workforce and learning initiatives on client engagements.
Business Development and Practice Growth
- Proposal leadership: Lead or significantly contribute to proposal development, solutioning, and pricing for WX and related opportunities.
- Pitching: Represent Infosys Consulting in client pitches and orals, articulating a compelling point of view and differentiated approach.
- Deal support: Take ownership of whatever is needed to help the practice win — from client relationship-building to proposal content to competitive positioning.
- Account expansion: While delivering current engagements, continuously and proactively identify opportunities to expand scope and grow the account, working closely with account and engagement leadership.
Project Leadership and Delivery Excellence
- Engagement leadership: Act as project lead, owning delivery quality, timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction on assigned engagements.
- Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, including Senior Consultants and Consultants, ensuring high-quality output.
- Individual contribution: Where needed, personally roll up sleeves to deliver critical work products, unblock issues, or step into gaps to protect delivery quality.
- Client relationship management: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, balancing delivery excellence with an ongoing eye for new opportunities.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Organizational Change Management, including demonstrated end-to-end ownership of change impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, training/adoption, and change measurement.
- Experience leading OCM workstreams on large, complex transformation programs, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Working knowledge of Target Operating Model (TOM) and org design, workforce planning, and workforce transition; exposure to AI-driven workforce transformation is highly valued.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled learning and capability development approaches.
- Demonstrated experience in proposal development, client pitching, and business development within a professional services or consulting context.
- Strong track record of team leadership and people development.
- Recognized change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent) preferred, but not necessary
Skills and Competencies
- Executive presence and the ability to influence senior client and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear plans.
- Excellent verbal, written, and creative communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and a genuine orientation toward business development and account growth.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to lead through others and build high-performing teams.
Nature of Work and Ways of Working
This is a consulting role that requires comfort operating in fast-paced, high-stakes, and frequently ambiguous environments. Priorities, client expectations, and project scopes can shift quickly, often requiring the Principal to re-plan, reprioritize, and lead teams through change while remaining calm and solution-oriented. Success in this role requires strong personal resilience, adaptability, and the ability to sustain performance and judgment under pressure — while also managing multiple concurrent priorities such as active delivery, proposal deadlines, and client relationship demands. The role may require travel to client sites and flexibility in working hours to meet client and project needs.
