Job Description

Zuellig Pharmais a leading healthcare solutions company in Asia, and our purpose is to make healthcare more accessible to the communities we serve. We provide world-class distribution, digital, and commercial services to support the growing healthcare needs in this region.

The company was started a hundred years ago and has grown to become a multibillion-dollar business covering 17 markets with over 12,000 employees. Our people serve more than 200,000 medical facilities and work with over 450 clients, including the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Purpose Of The Role

The candidate will be joining Zuellig Pharma's Group Technology as a Data Analytics Lead within the E-Commerce and Data Services (EDS) team. Operating as a strategic internal service provider, our team partners with business units to define, architect, and implement advanced data, BI, and AI solutions that address critical commercial and distribution challenges. Our primary technology ecosystem is built on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, Gemini), Looker, and PowerBI.

As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will serve as the crucial integration point, not only between business and technology but also within our own EDS team. The business defines the problem; you will design the end-to-end solution and orchestrate its delivery. You will collaborate daily with our Product Managers, Data Engineers, Product Engineers, and Technical Operations specialists to ensure the seamless design, build, and operationalization of our data products.

What You'll Do

Consultative Business Partnership & Solution Architecture:

  • Act as the primary technology liaison for core business units and enabling functions across the organization. Deeply understand their defined challenges (e.g., market access, supply chain efficiency) and translate them into actionable technical requirements and solution architectures.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops to define use cases, assess technical feasibility, and build robust business cases for new data, BI, and AI initiatives.

BI, Analytics & AI Solution Leadership

  • Oversee the design, development, and rollout of enterprise-grade BI reports and dashboards utilizing Looker and PowerBI, ensuring they provide accurate, actionable insights for operational and executive teams.
  • Lead the conceptualization and solution design for Machine Learning and Generative AI applications, specifically utilizing Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Gemini ecosystems.
  • Direct the rapid prototyping of Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate technical feasibility and business ROI before committing to enterprise-scale development.

Internal Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to align solution architecture with the product roadmap, define feature specifications, and ensure the end-product meets the original business case.
  • Provide clear architectural blueprints and data modeling requirements to Data Engineering teams, guiding the development of AI-ready data pipelines (curated, clean, and contextually rich) on Google Cloud.
  • Work with Product Engineers to ensure that data solutions and APIs are seamlessly integrated into front-end applications and business workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Operations team to design for production-readiness, establishing monitoring and support protocols before handover.

Project Delivery & Vendor Governance

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery for analytics and AI initiatives, acting as the definitive product owner and technical authority throughout the lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary technical delivery manager for external vendors and implementation partners, governing their output to ensure strict adherence to your architectural standards and business requirements.

Data Analytics Governance

  • Establish and enforce robust data analytics governance frameworks. Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations across all reporting and AI products.
  • Define best practices for data modeling, BI development, and prompt engineering, ensuring internal and external development teams adhere to a unified standard.
  • Traceability & Operational Auditing: Architect reporting systems in Looker/PowerBI that map complex distribution pathways, ensuring automated compliance monitoring, real-time product tracking, and auditable data governance.

Must-Have

What will make you successful:

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data analytics, solutions architecture, or technology consulting, with a significant portion of that time spent in or serving the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery, demonstrating the ability to take complex technical projects from initial business case to successful deployment and adoption.
  • Able to leverage strong vendor management experience in project delivery, including evaluating, directing, and governing external implementation partners and technical contractors.
  • High proficiency in SQL and enterprise BI platforms, specifically Looker and PowerBI, with experience designing scalable reporting architectures. Working proficiency in Python is required to effectively collaborate with data scientists, navigate Vertex AI, and guide GenAI prototyping efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, with a strong preference for hands-on familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Vertex AI, and LLMs such as Gemini.

Advantage To Have

  • Experience establishing or enforcing data analytics governance, including data quality management, reporting standards, and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating complex technical realities to business leaders and stringent business requirements to development teams.
  • Regulated Data & Privacy-Enhancing Tech: Familiarity with data privacy frameworks and ethical AI concepts, specifically dealing with patient-sensitive or highly regulated commercial pharmaceutical data
  • Generative AI Lifecycle Experience: Hands-on experience with LLM operationalization concepts (e.g., prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning architectures, or Agentic workflows).

What We Offer

  • We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where our employees can learn, grow, and achieve shared success.
  • We champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring every individual feels valued, respected, and treated fairly.
  • As a leading multi-market healthcare solutions provider, we empower our employees to gain comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the dynamic healthcare industry across the region.
  • Enjoy the flexibility to effectively balance your work and personal life while taking charge of your career journey through our empowering growth opportunities.
