Who Are We
Jadestone Energy is an independent oil and gas production company focused on the Asia Pacific region. In 2021, Jadestone acquired SapuraOMV's assets in Peninsular Malaysia. These assets include interests in four licenses, two of which Jadestone has operated since the 2021 acquisition. These include a 70% operated interest in the PM329 PSC, containing the East Piatu field, and a 60% operated interest in the PM323 PSC, which contains the East Belumut, West Belumut and Chermingat fields.
In addition, Jadestone acquired a 50% non-operated working interest in the PM318 and AAKBNLP PSCs, which were operated by PETRONAS Carigali. Jadestone assumed operatorship and full interest of those two PSCs early 2023 and is now engaged with PETRONAS on a path to unlocking additional value through these assets.
Outside of Malaysia, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in the Stag oilfield and in the Montara project, both offshore Australia. Both the Stag and Montara assets include oil producing fields, with further development and exploration potential. The Company also has a 16.67% non-operated interest in the North West Shelf Oil Project offshore Western Australia, comprising four oil fields containing significant upside potential through potential infill drilling and life extension activities.
Further, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in two gas development blocks in Southwest Vietnam, and an operated 100% interest in the Lemang PSC, onshore Sumatra, Indonesia, which includes the Akatara gas field development, where first production is expected in the first half of 2024. Most recently, the Company acquired a non-operated 9.52% interest in the Sinphuhorm producing gas field onshore Thailand.
Led by an experienced management team with a track record of delivery, the Company is pursuing an acquisition strategy focused on growth and creating value through identifying, acquiring, developing and operating assets in the Asia Pacific region. Jadestone Energy plc is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM: JSE). The Company is headquartered in Singapore, has its principal technical team in Kuala Lumpur and country operational offices in Perth, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City.

Position Purpose
- Provide Drilling Engineering assurance on well conception, design, planning and execution of Jadestone Energy's drilling projects whilst delivering to agreed subsurface, HSE, budgetary and performance objectives.
- Provide benchmarking updates across the region in terms of well performance, cost trend and materials availability.
- Focal point for Company and Industry standards and its application on all drilling related projects.
- Sharing of lessons learnt and best practice across all assets.
- Providing ongoing support and assurance of all drilling activities once programs become operational.
- Carry out due diligence of M&A opportunities for future drilling costs.
- Conceptualise, plan and support in-country drilling programs that are fit for purpose and manage performance to be an industry leader in delivering safe, effective, and lowest cost well delivery outcomes.
- Challenge today's norm with regards to drilling planning and execution of all well's activities
- Working in a way to maximise cost recovery/comply with all local employment and regulatory requirements.
Principal Accountabilities
- Upfront planning, screening, risk assessment and assurance of all drilling activities
- Providing functional support for all company well activities.
- Ensuring that wells are designed, planned and budgeted in a manner that meets the company's objectives and support the in-country drilling operations.
- Keep updated on new tools and techniques in both drilling and P&A activities - driving continuous effort to improve well delivery performance.
- Work with Subsurface, Production and Operations teams for long term planning issues; building effective working relationships with other departments involved in drilling programs.
- Provide Drilling Engineering assurance on well conception, design, planning and execution of Jadestone Energy's drilling projects whilst delivering to agreed subsurface, HSE, budgetary and performance objectives.

Position Holder Requirement
Formal Qualification
- BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Min 20 years experience working in upstream oil and gas industry
- Onshore, platform and subsea wells experience
- Broad international and multi-basin experience, with emphasis on Australasia and South East Asia (land, offshore platforms and subsea wells)
- Knowledge of Well planning software for example WellCat, Compass, WellPlan
- Broad international and multi-basin experience, with emphasis on Australasia and South East Asia land, offshore (jack-up, semi-sub or drillship)
- Acted as subject matter expert or as an independent reviewer / assurer with a proven track record
