The Role

We currently have several exciting opportunities available in our Kuala Lumpur office. Kuala Lumpur as a city offers a vibrant, affordable, and culturally rich lifestyle, complemented by world-class infrastructure, stunning natural landscapes, and warm hospitality.
About You
Working in collaboration with our global network of experts and industry leaders, you will contribute to the successful delivery of dam, hydropower and pumped hydro projects around the world. Your role will involve providing technical advice and solutions grounded in your expertise, ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, quality, and technical standards.
We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified engineers with a
minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience and a strong understanding of international standards and codes of practice.
Ideally, you will bring consultancy experience, including managing engineering teams and coordinating with other technical disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes. Most importantly, you will embody SMEC's values and our commitment to client focus and service excellence.

Principal Engineer Embankment Dam Specialist
This role requires
deep technical design knowledge in embankment dam engineering, with demonstrated experience in:
- Concrete Faced Rockfill Dams (CFRD)
- Asphalt Core Dams (ACD)
- Geomembrane Faced Rockfill Dams (GFRD)
