About PayNet

At PayNet, your work doesn't just move money; it moves a nation.

We make every payment count toward Malaysians shared prosperity by powering the platforms millions use every day, from DuitNow and FPX to MyDebit and JomPAY. Our systems keep Malaysia's digital economy running securely, seamlessly, and inclusively, whether you're tapping, transferring, paying bills, or expanding a business.

If you're excited about creating impact at a national scale and shaping how Malaysia pays, connects, and progresses, you'll fit right in.

About The Technology Division

Building the backbone of Malaysia's payment infrastructure. Led by Chief Technology Officer, Technology designs, evolves, and secures the always-on architecture that powers trusted, scalable digital payment services for the nation.

Summary Of Responsibility

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the organization's Future State Architecture, including compute infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, enterprise backup, and supporting tools.
  • Design and maintain a resilient, highly available, and low-latency infrastructure using virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or RedHat Virtualization, ensuring reliability for mission-critical systems.
  • Plan and execute the multi-year migration of core payment services (e.g., JomPAY, FPX, DuitNow) to the new infrastructure while ensuring minimal system downtime and service disruption.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages, enabling automated deployment, patch management, system hardening, and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
  • Design and enhance system monitoring and performance management, ensuring infrastructure capacity, performance, and service availability through tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and logging platforms.
  • Act as the technical lead for system deployment and integration, overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams including network, storage, and security.

What will make you successful

Must-have

  • Strong hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting RedHat Linux and Windows Server environments, including system performance tuning, OS hardening, and infrastructure stability in production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and deploy highly available and resilient virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or RedHat Virtualization (RHV) from the ground up, supporting mission-critical enterprise systems.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, combined with programming or scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or advanced shell scripting to automate deployment, patching, and system management.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise systems and tools such as Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, Jenkins, Terraform, Grafana, and logging/monitoring platforms, supporting scalable and reliable infrastructure operations.

Advantages To Have

  • Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) demonstrating advanced Linux administration and engineering expertise.
  • Background working in financial services or telecommunications environments, where systems require high availability, low latency, strict security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience using AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as EC2, S3, Route53, ELB, or DBaaS, particularly in hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Terraform, Vagrant, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack, supporting modern CI/CD and automated infrastructure management.
  • Implementation experience with enterprise application platforms and web infrastructure such as Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Tomcat, JBoss, or Oracle WebLogic.
