In this role you will work closely with the design and test-development teams worldwide withing IFX PSS Power Systems and build the bridge to several internal and external customers, like quality management, laboratories and production sites. With in-depth product knowledge you will solve technical challenges and contribute to process improvements and cost optimization. As a semiconductor professional you will take the ownership to successfully move a product from development into production.
In your new role you will:
- As a hands-on engineer and a technical coach, lead a new team of experienced IC Test Development engineers at the Melaka facility in conducting the following tasks
- Using the most advanced Mixed Signal (M/S) and Power IC ATE platforms presently available in the industry, design, develop, debug, and verify and release to production at IFX and OSAT partner facilities high parallel test solutions for our PS IC product portfolio. Our products span a wide range from complex mixed signal low voltage multi-phase controllers (SoC) to high voltage MOSFET gate drivers to HV isolated controllers in multi-chip modules both conventional as well as state of the art new power module configurations/topologies.
- You will work with a team of highly motivated PTE managers and PTE engineers based in Villach AT and Munich DE with additional Test Engineering sites in Bucharest, Singapore and Duisburg DE to deploy the most cost-effective test solutions possible for our products.
- Our workflows and assignments to a large degree ignore international boundaries and we endeavor to function as one global team within the IFX PSS PS RD framework.
- In some cases, you will be working on existing products which due to either ATE platform obsolescence or due to volume demands require higher parallelism solutions to reduce test costs and/or make factory floor footprints more productive.
- Initially you will report to the Senior Director PSS PS RD PTE, however once you have assembled your team in Melaka, you and your team will be properly integrated into the global management team of PS RD PTE on equal footing with Villach/Singapore/Bucharest/Munich/Duisburg teams in the PTE organization.
- You will represent the PS PTE organization locally in the Melaka mega-factory campus, and occasionally will need to interact with the facilities team management as well as other organizations on campus.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, however at least a 4 year degree with adequate professional experience in the Global Semiconductor Industry is a hard requirement.
- Able to demonstrate through clear verbal descriptions which advanced IC ATE platforms you have personally been trained on and have advanced skills to use in developing test solutions for either final test or wafer level testing.
- You must have an outgoing personality, a high degree of professionalism and a committed willingness to not only conduct your own work in the described fields, but be able to also coach younger or more inexperienced engineers on your team to excel and some day exceed your own abilities. - Some international travel within Asia and occasionally to EU countries will be required.
- Adequate written and verbal English skills are a must have.
