Grow together
At the core of our mission is protecting our customers data—whether it resides on‑premises, in the cloud, or in use. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to a small development team of three people, delivering internal applications that support our PKI and Cryptographic Services. The most significant of these is our in‑house Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution, currently built in PHP.
This is not a pure managerial role. While you will guide and mentor the team, approximately
80% of your time will be hands‑on—designing, coding, reviewing, and driving technical implementation. You will lead by example and remain deeply involved in the development lifecycle.
We are preparing a complete redesign and rebuild of the CLM application to align with modern DevOps practices and ensure long‑term scalability. You will play a key role in shaping this transformation, driving technical direction, influencing architectural decisions, and partnering closely with our central DevOps team as well as application and infrastructure architects.
Deep knowledge and extensive experience in PHP, Node.js, and React.js is essential, supported by a proven track record of developing complex applications.
Your team collaborates closely with the Operations team, which manages day‑to‑day support tickets. Your responsibilities will include planning and developing new features, proposing enhancements, delivering bug fixes, and supporting Operations when urgent situations arise.
You will work within a large and interconnected IT ecosystem where integration with other functions is essential. Our services rely heavily on Active Directory and multiple internal systems for the distribution and management of X.509 certificates across the organization.
In addition to PHP, our environment frequently uses .NET, C#, PowerShell, and web API technologies such as REST and SOAP—giving you the opportunity to broaden and deepen your technical skill set.
Ready to embark on the journey Here's what we are looking for:
As a Developer Lead for PKI & Cryptographic services, having knowledge about PKI is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of Active Directory Certificate Services will also be an integral part of this role.
You are a programming aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of programming techniques. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
An array of benefits for you:
- Hybrid work arrangements to balance in-office collaboration and home flexibility.
- Outpatient (unlimited) and inpatient medical coverage for employees.
- Personalized flexi benefit plan for you and your family.
- Choose any day off from earned public holidays, including Saturdays and ad-hoc holidays to spend with your loved ones.
- Modern offices with free parking space.
Great TeamHi, my name is Jiri Podhorny and I'm a team manager. I started my career at DHL IT Services back in 2012, when I took a role as Network Security Engineer in the Secure Access team. Gaining more hands-on experience with security has always fascinated me, so I moved through different security-related positions. I moved through the company ladder and in begging of 2022 I started as a Manager of PKI and Cryptographic Service. Together with the strong support of a multinational & diverse team, we are working on our common ambition – keep DHL secure. Looking forward to having you onboard!
