Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Private Wealth Director role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Private Wealth Director will manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth clients by providing holistic wealth management, investment advisory, and long-term financial planning solutions. Responsibilities include understanding clients goals and risk profiles, constructing and reviewing investment portfolios, and recommending suitable products across asset classes. The role will involve monitoring market developments, leveraging in-house research, and proactively communicating insights and portfolio updates to clients. The Private Wealth Director will also be expected to identify new business opportunities, collaborate with internal teams on product and service delivery, ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in finance and financial planning, with the ability to develop comprehensive wealth strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Well-developed analytical skills to interpret market data, assess risk-return profiles, and formulate evidence-based recommendations (Analytical Skills).
  • Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in private banking, wealth management, or investment advisory, preferably serving high-net-worth or affluent clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong ethical standards, sound judgment, and familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in wealth management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
