Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply quality principles and methodologies to machining processes to enhance output and minimize defects.
  • Assess and recommend non-traditional machining processes (e.g., EDM, laser machining, additive manufacturing) to meet precision machining requirements.
  • Review and evaluate new product designs to ensure manufacturability and compliance with project and product requirements.
  • Develop and assess process plans to select suitable precision machining methods for various projects.
  • Monitor and control machine performance to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation and process flow charts for machining operations.
  • Review existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and validate measurement and inspection methods to ensure compliance with precision requirements.
  • Integrate additive manufacturing and computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) into production processes where applicable.
  • Support the design and development of precision machinery, tools, jigs, and fixtures to improve process capability.
  • Collaborate with programmers, machinists, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support production requirements.
  • Manage and resolve process-related disputes and conflicts within the machining department.
  • Participate in product design and development projects, providing process input to meet cost, quality, and lead-time targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in machining process engineering, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, non-traditional machining processes, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Familiar with CAD/CAM, CIM systems, and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
