Develop, qualify, and optimize wafer fabrication processes for Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) technologies to support high-reliability power semiconductor applications in industrial and energy systems.
Establish and improve process flows, materials, and methodologies to meet product performance, quality, and cost targets in line with Fuji Electric manufacturing standards.
Demonstrate strong support of wafer process integration, including key modules such as oxidation, lithography, ion implantation, diffusion, etching, thin film deposition, and metallization, with focus on IGBT device characteristics.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve:
High yield and product quality (defect reduction, wafer handling robustness, parametric stability, reliability assurance)
Stable and repeatable processes (tight process control, reduced variation, improved capability indices)
Productivity and operational efficiency (cycle time reduction, throughput optimization)
Cost effectiveness (material optimization, process simplification, resource and energy efficiency)
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations, yield loss, and electrical failures using structured problem-solving approaches.
Monitor and control critical process parameters (CPP) and critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics to ensure consistent manufacturing performance.
Support new technology introduction, process qualification, and transfer from development to mass production, ensuring smooth ramp-up and process stability.
Performing in-depth analysis of electrical test parameters and characteristics to drive process optimization prototype.
Participate in equipment setup, evaluation, and qualification, including process matching and optimization for production readiness.
Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to systematically evaluate process variables and define optimal operating windows.
Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOP), and technical reports in compliance with internal quality systems.
Train and guide engineers and technicians to ensure adherence to process standards and continuous skill development.
Propose practical and innovative engineering solutions to enhance yield, device reliability, and manufacturing robustness.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, process engineering, or development is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or coursework in semiconductor processing are encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering skills.
Detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across production, quality, and engineering teams.
Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and support production or development activities as required.
