About the role

- Working Hours 8.30am 5.15pm
The Process Quality Manager is operations-focused, ensuring that day to day production processes meet the safety and quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance programs, monitoring production, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. The manager collaborates closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and food safety excellence.
Key responsibilities
Collaboration with Different Stakeholders, Ensuring Product Quality and Safety
- Work closely with production, R&D, and other relevant teams to address quality issues, implement changes, and ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Coordinate investigation into deviations, non-conformances / incidents, and customer complaints, review and verify Root Cause Analysis and Action Plan (RCAAP) and prepare response letter / incident report in timely manner.
- Collaborate with operation and R&D teams to validate new products (NPI) and process changes and be the key customer lead in relevant customer project.
- Ensure hazard analysis / risk assessment on new raw materials / packaging materials / products / processes is carried out.
- Support in verifying and maintaining VACCP and TACCP, in alignment with food safety standards and company requirements.
- Promptly escalate any gaps or non-conformities to superior or the FSQ Manager for corrective action.
- Liaise with Supply Chain and/or suppliers to ensure the quality of raw and primary packaging materials.
- Support external audits, including regulatory inspections and third-party certifications.
Developing and Implementing Process Quality Assurance Systems
- Perform internal audits / site inspection / verification to assess compliance with quality standards / effectiveness of CAPA.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all process quality assurance activities, including change management records, investigation reports, ensuring full traceability.
- Manage Quality Master Data Governance (MDG) and work with relevant parties for document / SAP updates.
- As Sensory Champion, ensure sensory positive release standards are adhered to.
Driving Continuous Improvement
- Analyse quality control data, including test results (e.g., particle size, moisture content, microbiological analysis), production data, and customer feedback, to identify areas for process improvement / optimization and cost saving.
- Lead and implement projects to improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Provide regular reports to site management on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership and People Management
- Lead Process QA team, provide guidance and support to ensure consistent performance.
- Providing training to employees on quality procedures, food safety protocols and other relevant topics.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Industrial Bioscience, Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in quality assurance, process control and food safety management within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in spray drying and/or blending processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and other relevant food safety standards and auditing.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Comfortable working in a fast changing and growing global environment where accountability, quality, timeliness are key components.
- Effective communication with cross functional teams at multi-levels within the organization.
