Role Description The Process Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at PGF Insulation's production facility in Penang, Malaysia. This role is responsible for monitoring and operating production equipment, ensuring processes run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include adjusting process parameters, performing routine inspections, identifying and resolving equipment or process issues, and supporting preventive maintenance activities. The Process Technician collaborates closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to implement process improvements and maintain production targets. The role also involves documenting process data, reporting deviations, and assisting in training production team members on updated procedures and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in production equipment and processes.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to monitor product standards, perform inspections, and support continuous improvement of manufacturing quality.
- Candidates should possess Process Engineering-related skills to understand process flows, optimize operating parameters, and support implementation of process improvements.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to assist in scheduled maintenance, basic equipment care, and reporting of potential mechanical or electrical problems.
- Candidates should possess Training skills to share process knowledge, support onboarding of new team members, and promote adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or process plant operations, ideally in insulation, glass, or similar materials, is an advantage.
- Ability to follow safety regulations, read and interpret technical documentation, and work effectively in a team-oriented, shift-based environment.
