Job Description

About the Role:

The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and budget requirements. This role requires strong coordination with internal stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to support mission-critical construction works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement activities including understanding user and project requirements, sourcing, calling and analyzing quotations, negotiation, purchase order preparation, and delivery follow-up
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve procurement processes, policies, and best practices to support data center construction projects
  • Source, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
  • Conduct commercial evaluation and price negotiation to ensure cost competitiveness and value for money
  • Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality of materials, and contractual compliance
  • Coordinate closely with project teams, consultants, site teams, and store personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment
  • Monitor and expedite long-lead and critical items (e.g. M&E systems, data center infrastructure equipment, specialized materials)
  • Ensure on-time delivery and compliance with approved specifications, drawings, and standards
  • Oversee inventory control, conduct monthly stock audits, and ensure proper documentation and record keeping
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) practices in procurement and site operations
  • Support contract administration matters related to procurement, including variation orders and claims (where applicable)
  • Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and updates for management and project teams

Value-Add of the Position:

  • Act as a key procurement advisor to internal stakeholders by recommending suitable procurement strategies, sourcing options, and alternative materials or suppliers
  • Proactively identify procurement risks (cost, supply chain, delivery delays) and propose mitigation measures
  • Support project teams in resolving procurement-related issues to minimize impact on construction schedules
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance

Skills & Requirements:

Experience: -

  • Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction, M&E, or data center projects
  • Proven track record in vendor sourcing, commercial negotiation, and supplier management
  • Experience managing long-lead and critical procurement items

Knowledge: -

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract administration
  • Familiarity with construction materials, M&E systems, and data center infrastructure is an advantage
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards in a construction environment

Skills: -

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with ERP systems is an advantage
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and coordination skills
