Team Management: Fully responsible for the establishment, daily management, talent development and performance appraisal of the Malaysia procurement team. Standardize team SOPs, oversee all local procurement operations, drive the team to achieve business targets, and ensure compliant, efficient and stable regional business operation.
Local Product Pool Development: Conduct in-depth research on Malaysia's industrial market. Build and iterate the local product pool covering MRO, industrial equipment, consumables and other core categories. Take charge of category planning, parameter standardization, pricing system establishment and SKU optimization, develop a localized industrial product system, and enhance market competitiveness of local products.
Supplier Development & Management: Source, negotiate and onboard high-quality local manufacturers and brand distributors in Malaysia. Establish localized supplier access, rating, assessment and elimination mechanisms. Manage business negotiations, framework cooperation and supplier relationship maintenance, optimize the supply chain structure, and control procurement costs, delivery quality and stability to ensure robust supply chain operation.
Asia-Pacific System Collaboration: Assist the Asia-Pacific Merchandise Lead in building the regional Asia-Pacific procurement and merchandise system. Align regional category standards, procurement processes and supplier management policies. Participate in cross-regional resource integration, category collaboration and cost optimization, resolve regional operational pain points, and support the standardized and integrated development of the Asia-Pacific procurement system.
Requirements:
Professional Experience: Over 8 years of procurement experience in industrial MRO and industrial equipment; over 3 years of experience in localized procurement and overseas team management in Malaysia/Southeast Asia with deep knowledge of local industrial markets and supply chain resources. Experience with large-scale industrial e-commerce or cross-border supply chain platforms is preferred.
Core Competencies: Proven capabilities in building overseas local product pools, category planning and SKU refined operation. Proficient in local supplier development, business negotiation and resource integration. Capable of cross-regional collaboration and system construction, able to support the Asia-Pacific headquarters in implementing standardized management, with strong market analysis and cost reduction & efficiency improvement capabilities.
Comprehensive Literacy: Fluent in business English for independent overseas commercial communication. Adaptable to long-term overseas assignment with strong execution, goal orientation and pressure resistance. Excellent in team management, overall coordination and project delivery with solid compliance awareness.
