Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the business objectives, budget requirements and operational needs.
  2. Source, evaluate and manage suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective and sustainable supply for commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
  3. Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and dealers, coordinate contract review with Group Legal to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies and requirements.
  4. Create and manage purchase orders, delivery tracking and verify invoices and payments to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
  5. Analyse purchasing trends, identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or service.
  6. Plan and coordinate logistics and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery to meet customer requirements.
  7. Monitor supplier performance through defined KPIs and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
  8. Act as the key liaison between suppliers, dealers, internal stakeholders and Group Legal on procurement-related and contractual matters.
  9. Lead and guide the procurement and logistics team, providing guidance, direction, and coaching for efficient and effective operation.
  10. Develop and manage procurement-related budgets and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  11. Work closely with internal stakeholders such as production, sales, finance, and after-sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with business priorities.
  12. Carry out any other duties related to procurement and logistics as required by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering).
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in procurement, preferably in automotive, manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good in negotiations and networking.
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, cost control and procurement operations.
  • Exposure to contract review and coordination with legal or compliance teams.
  • Good command of English, Chinese, Bahasa Melayu (both written and spoken).
