Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Procurement Manager.

The role will supervise the procurement activities of goods, materials, supplies, and services that meet the organizations standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities

  • To execute companys strategies with cross-functional collaboration regarding the scope of procurement.
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier bids, tenders, proposals, or quotations, negotiate prices and delivery conditions; and commit to purchases (within established limits of authority) in accordance to the terms and policies of the organization.
  • To seek new alternative sources of suppliers and materials and maintain good relationship with suppliers.
  • Responsible in negotiating all the purchasing plans, price, terms & requirements with the suppliers.
  • To ensure specification of materials are accurate and samples are evaluated.
  • Close cross-functional activities involvement with the Commercial and Industrial teams for all the relevant operational matters on material purchases and suppliers.
  • Intensively involve in new product development, products and materials innovation and renovation.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve/prevent problems arising with timeliness or quality of supplies.
  • Manage annual Supplier Performance Evaluation.
  • To follow-up with suppliers for any issues on late delivery, quality, quantity and unit price discrepancy
  • To ensure all Item Master, Master Vendor List and cost savings are updated with the latest information.
  • To ensure all sources and prices are documented and executed accurately in the system.
  • Ensure Purchase Requisitions from all the departments are in-place and Purchase Orders is prepared accordingly.
  • Ensure documents for the relevant business transaction are properly managed for payment submission.
  • Inventory control and maintenance in the system for all the items purchased.
  • Provide support in other areas of procurement and assist in ad hoc projects as and when required

What are the Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree in Business Studies/Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in related fields
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage
