POSITION TITLE: Procurement & Demand Planning Manager

This Job Description is tailored for a mature, process-driven leader who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and the technical nitty-gritty of food importing across Malaysia and Singapore. The candidate should be an expert in demand planning and process automation, not just a traditional buyer.

Salary Range: up to 200k PA

Location: Subang 2, Selangor (100% On-site)

Reporting to: Managing Director

Team Size: 3 (1 Senior Exec, 1 Exec, 1 existing Manager)

Geographic Scope: 60% Malaysia, 40% Singapore

Role Overview

We are seeking a mature, firm, and visionary leader to spearhead the transformation of our procurement and demand planning functions. This is not a raw material role; you will be managing a portfolio of world-class, best-managed food brands. Your mission is to align the supply chain with our company vision through Automation, Data Analysis, and Speed. You will be the architect of change, utilizing the ADKAR model to lead your team through a transition toward tech-enabled efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Demand Planning & Commercial Alignment

Partner closely with the Commercial Team to develop accurate sales forecasts.

Translate market demand into precise procurement cycles to ensure 100% stock availability with zero wastage.

Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools to identify trends and prevent overstocking of perishables.

2. Regional Process Leadership (MY & SG)

Standardize and lead the procurement processes and tools for the Singapore (SG) market.

Drive continuous optimizationfocusing on minor changes for major impact in workflow efficiency.

Oversee the end-to-end logistics and warehouse coordination to ensure cold-chain integrity across borders.

3. Technology & Automation Drive

Eliminate manual bottlenecks by implementing automation in the purchasing workflow.

Use data analytics to monitor Landed Cost, supplier performance, and inventory health.

Focus on Speed and Efficiency as the core KPIs for the department.

4. Financial & Stakeholder Management

Work hand-in-hand with the Finance Team on FX hedging, cash flow planning, and budget adherence.

Provide high-level reporting to the Managing Director and Founder regarding supply chain resilience.

5. Leadership & Mindset (ADKAR Model)

Lead a team of three with a supportive yet firm leadership style.

Use the ADKAR framework (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) to drive digital adoption and mindset alignment within the team.

Requirements & Competencies

Experience: Minimum 810 years in Procurement/Supply Chain, ideally within FMCG or Premium Food Import.

Mindset: Highly mature, firm in decision-making, and perfectly aligned with a growth-oriented company vision.

Tech Savvy: Proven experience with BI tools and supply chain optimization software.

Leadership: A Leader who supports changesomeone who can drive tasks while mentoring the team.

Language: Due to the nature of our vendor base and internal culture, proficiency in Mandarin and English is required.

Work Style: Values face-to-face collaboration; comfortable with a 100% office-based environment in Subang 2.
