The Producer is responsible for overseeing the progress of assigned animated projects, focusing on project-level planning, coordination, and delivery. They bridge creative and technical departments, ensuring milestones are met, resources are aligned, and communication flows effectively. The Producer maintains a project-wide view, ensuring each stage moves forward smoothly while escalating key risks and updates to the stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Plan and monitor the overall project schedule, aligning departmental deliverables with milestones.
Ensure consistency of workflow across departments (storyboard, modeling, animation, lighting, etc.).
Work with department leads and Line Producers to balance team capacity against project needs.
Track progress at the project level and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
Monitor project budgets set by the Senior Producer, tracking expenditure against deliverables.
Ensure deadlines for major phases are met and report variances to the Senior Producer.
Identify project-level risks (delays, pipeline bottlenecks, vendor misalignment) and propose mitigation strategies.
Ensure that the work delivered by Line Producers and teams is consistent with project goals and quality standards.
Act as the main point of contact for project-related matters between department leads and the Senior Producer.
Identify opportunities where AI tools can improve workflows (e.g., scheduling, asset tracking, quality control).
Support department leads in adopting AI-driven processes that enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
Encourage innovative solutions within project teams to streamline production without compromising creative standards.
Requirements:
45 years of production management experience in animation, VFX, or related creative industries.
Proven track record of managing cross-departmental workflows.
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple teams and timelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate between creative and technical departments.
Proficiency with production tracking tools (e.g., ShotGrid, ftrack, Trello, or similar).
Ability to anticipate risks and propose practical solutions.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
Able to balance creative goals with production constraints.
Collaborative mindset with leadership presence, but adaptable to support the Senior Producers direction.
