About the Role
We are seeking a Hindi/Urdu speaking AI Operations Intern to join our Product Architecture team. You will work closely with our AI engineers and AI Product Architects to improve speech and language models, ensure data quality, and optimize AI systems for Hindi/Urdu market-specific contexts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about AI, linguistics, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily AI operation activities, including optimizing ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), NLU (Natural Language Understanding), and NER (Named Entity Recognition) models through market-specific data tuning, strategic data curation/augmentation, error analysis, and quality assurance.
- Perform NLU model testing, training, dataset augmentation, data cleaning, and regression testing to achieve target accuracy, intent classification precision, and model stability.
- Prepare datasets, analyze model outputs, and troubleshoot ASR issues to minimize recognition errors for colloquial and dialectal expressions in Hindi/Urdu.
- Optimize NER rule configurations for real-world localized patterns to improve entity capture and recognition in specific scenarios.
- Evaluate ASR model performance for speech accuracy, timing, and channel precision.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for voice bots, assessing reliability, accuracy, and user experience.
- Complete training assessments for text and audio data annotation and quality inspection personnel.
- Assist in verifying model training/testing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor&aposs degree or above, or currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field or recent graduate who are native in Hindi/Urdu, and fluent in English for communication and global team collaborations.
- Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferably, students with prior exposure or background knowledge in AI, NLP, computational linguistics, or related industry experience.
- Able to work on-site for at least 3 days a week consistently.
- Prefer candidates with AI, Computer Science (AI/NLP/Data Science Majors), Linguistics, or Language Studies background (those with research project and data analysis experience).
- Proficient in using spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for data processing and document processing tools (Word/Google Docs).
