Position Summary
Genea Biomedx is seeking a highly motivated Product Development & Clinical Application Specialist, APAC Region to support the successful deployment and adoption of our IVF laboratory technologies and solutions across the region. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Embryologist based in Malaysia, with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for translating customer needs into practical product and workflow improvements.
This role serves as a key bridge between customers, distributors, product development teams, and commercial teams to ensure successful product implementation, technical support, and clinical application excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Product Deployment & Customer Support
- Support the deployment and implementation of new products and solutions across APAC customer sites.
- Provide on-site and remote technical and application support during product installation and onboarding.
- Assist customers in integrating products into existing laboratory workflows and operational processes.
- Troubleshoot product, application, and workflow-related issues and coordinate with relevant internal teams when required.
Customer Training & Clinical Application Support
- Deliver product and clinical application training programs to customers, laboratories, and distributors.
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and application documentation.
- Provide ongoing education and technical support to optimize customer adoption and satisfaction.
- Deliver selected global application support activities when required.
Demonstrations & Workflow Optimization
- Execute product demonstrations for customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and distributors.
- Evaluate laboratory workflows and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and product utilization.
- Support clinical validation activities and application-related initiatives.
Distributor Technical Enablement
- Train and enable distributor teams on product features, application knowledge, troubleshooting processes, and best practices.
- Act as a technical resource to strengthen distributor capability and customer support effectiveness across the region.
Congresses, Webinars & Marketing Support
- Support regional congresses, workshops, and customer education programs.
- Participate in product presentations, customer engagement activities, and scientific discussions.
- Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to support product promotion activities.
Product Feedback & Product Development Support
- Collect customer feedback, user experience insights, and market needs from APAC regions.
- Provide structured feedback to product management and R&D teams to support continuous product improvement.
- Participate in selected product development projects and clinical evaluation activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on embryology experience, preferably within an IVF laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of IVF laboratory workflows and assisted reproductive technologies.
- Experience in customer-facing clinical application, technical support, or training roles is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in Malaysia.
- Prior experience with IVF laboratory equipment, time-lapse systems, AI-assisted embryo assessment tools, witnessing systems, or cryostorage solutions.
- Experience supporting distributors and international customers.
- Experience conducting webinars, workshops, or scientific presentations.
