Role Purpose:

We are looking for a visionary and results-driven leader to own and transform DHL's flagship customer-facing digital platform, MyExpress. This is a high-impact role responsible for shaping a unified, seamless, and best-in-class digital experience for our global customers.

As the strategic owner of the platform, you will drive innovation across the entire customer journey, from onboarding to daily interactions, reducing customer effort, increasing loyalty, and maximizing lifetime value. MyExpress serves as the primary digital gateway for our customers worldwide, placing this role at the heart of DHL's digital transformation.

The role can be based in either Malaysia or Bonn, Germany.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL

Strategy & Vision
  • Define and lead the end-to-end strategy, vision, and evolution of the MyExpress platform.
  • Align platform priorities with DHL's broader customer experience and business strategies.
  • Deliver a consistent, global feature set that enhances the digital customer experience.

Product Leadership & Delivery
  • Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog, prioritizing initiatives based on customer value, business impact, and feasibility.
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery using agile methodologies, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable releases.
  • Provide leadership to regional and country stakeholders to ensure that programs and projects are managed collaboratively with an Agile-first mindset.
  • Manage external partner evaluation and engagement process.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making through analytics, experimentation, and continuous discovery.

Technology & Platform Excellence
  • Oversee the platform's technology landscape, including architecture, integrations, reliability, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with key standards (e.g., GDPR, accessibility, security frameworks).
  • Define and monitor platform performance through robust telemetry, analytics, and dashboards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Operations, IT, and other product teams to deliver a cohesive, end-to-end customer experience.
  • Align stakeholders across regions and business units, balancing priorities and driving consensus.
  • Manage integrations and SLA commitments with internal and external partners.

Leadership & Impact

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional team of 20-50 internal and vendor resources.
  • Provide clear, executive-level communication on strategy, roadmap, risks, and value delivery.
  • Own the platform budget (€8M annually), ensuring optimal investment decisions and strong ROI. Lead POA creation and approval process.

Do you have what it takes

  • Advanced degree in Customer Experience, Computer Science, Business IT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT, digital product management, or related fields, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Certifications in Product Management, Agile Delivery, or related areas.
  • Proven success in defining and delivering large-scale digital platforms and customer experiences.
  • Strong expertise in product strategy, agile delivery, and modern technology ecosystems (architecture, integrations, data models).
  • Experience managing high-volume, transactional platforms in global, complex organizations.
  • Solid understanding of platform reliability, observability, CI/CD, and secure devel opment practices.
  • Track record of driving business value, optimizing total cost of ownership, and managing significant budgets.
  • Program/Portfolio Management certifications are a plus

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading global teams, multi-region launches, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights.

About Company

DHL is a German logistics company providing courier, package delivery and express mail service, which is a division of the German logistics firm Deutsche Post. The company group delivers over 1.6 billion parcels per year. DHL Express is market leader for parcel services in Europe and Germany's main Courier and Parcel Service.
The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
