Our client is seeking a Product Engineer to support the full product life cycle, from NPI to mass production, ensuring products meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead NPI activities: process qualification, tooling verification & pilot builds.
- Review product specs, drawings, and BOM for manufacturability (DFM).
- Provide technical support to production to ensure stable, efficient processes.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis & drive CAPA.
- Improve yield, cycle time, and production cost through process optimisation.
- Support quality investigations, failure analysis & reliability testing.
- Maintain and update product documentation (WI, test specs, ECOs).
- Work with suppliers on component/process issues & support material qualification.
- Interface with customers on technical matters and build reports.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
Requirement:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 35 years experience in electronics/manufacturing/product engineering.
- Strong understanding of PCBA, electronic components, and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with failure analysis tools (X-ray, AOI, ICT, oscilloscope, etc.) preferred.
- Familiar with GD&T, DFM, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, documentation & communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin is an added advantage.
