Scope of Work (SOW)
Role: Product Manager KERISI Redevelopment
1. Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and refine the product vision for the new KERISI platform.
- Align the vision with company goals, government agency requirements, and compliance standards (SAGA, MOF guidelines, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the redevelopment.
2. Market & User Research
- Conduct competitive analysis of financial and government solutions in Malaysia.
- Gather feedback from existing KERISI clients (e.g., UUM, UNIMAS) to identify pain points, desired improvements, and future needs.
- Map out user personas (finance officers, auditors, government administrators) to guide product design.
3. Requirement Gathering & Documentation
- Translate stakeholder needs into Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Product Requirement Documents (PRD).
- Define functional and non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, and compliance.
- Prioritize features using structured frameworks (MoSCoW, RICE).
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with development teams (engineering, QA, DevOps) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure usability and compliance with modern design standards.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for effective product positioning and go-to-market readiness.
5. Planning & Execution
- Create and manage the product backlog using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
- Break down the roadmap into sprints with measurable milestones.
- Ensure timely delivery through continuous communication with stakeholders.
6. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian government standards, including SAGA, MOF guidelines, and PDPA.
- Define and oversee quality assurance processes.
- Identify risks (technical, financial, regulatory) and implement mitigation strategies.
7. Launch & Rollout
- Manage pilot rollouts with selected agencies to validate features and performance.
- Plan phased deployments to minimize disruption to existing operations.
- Gather post-launch feedback and track KPIs such as adoption rate, user satisfaction, and error reduction.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Recommend and plan future enhancements (e.g., AI features, automation, integration with government systems).
- Stay up to date with financial technology and government digitalization trends to maintain product competitiveness.
Prerequisites / Requirements
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field.
- MBA is an added advantage.
Experience
- 510 years in product management, preferably in enterprise or government/financial software.
- Proven experience with platform redevelopment or migration projects.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies.
Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (government and technical teams).
- In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements: SAGA, MOF procurement standards, PDPA, ISO27001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
Soft Skills
- Leadership and sound decision-making.
- Clear communication in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Strategic thinking with a strong execution focus.
