Product Manager, Global Payment Solutions (GPS) -Corporate Cards
Job Purpose
HSBC is looking for a Product Commercialization Manager, with proven experience in the Cards arena for an exciting role in HSBC. The role's focus is generating and driving revenue through identifying, developing and optimising new and existing client opportunities. The Cards Commercialization Manager will focus on commercialization of new product features, identifying opportunities, and generating new business opportunities alongside the sales organisation. The successful Cards Product Commercialization Manager will have a proven track record in delivering commercialization strategies as well as an understanding of the wider Payments industry.
Principal Responsibilities
- Drive GPS innovation and commercialization of Corporate Cards and develop product propositions that fulfills client requirements
- Work with front line team to design and develop solution for client needs and industry trends.
- Help negotiate the terms of large commercial agreements, both internally and with clients, close sales and process contracts
- Building relationships with new and existing clients to gain a clear understanding of their requirements
- Develop and implement new ways of working with key clients, partners and vendors for longer term partnerships
- Provide clients with sales proposals that are both timely and professional in quality
- Implement new activities and manage all commercial activities with sales colleagues
- Understand market trends and the likely impact on revenue streams
- Develop and drive specific commercialization activities including but not limited to creating tools to support sales and client service teams in educating and marketing our Corporate Card product capabilities.
- The jobholder is required to be familiar and to operate within the Product Governance framework, have a strong commercial and business management approach, be able to maintain close relationships with the product managers as well as GPS Client Management and Sales and partner functions to execute the development and deployment of new functionality.
- The jobholder is also responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for assigned products and work with Sales, RM and CS to develop a healthy pipeline for products under commercialization.
- He or she is also required to develop and lead other members of the team in their management of assigned products.
Qualifications
- Degree or post graduate degree
- A person with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to apply an entrepreneurial mindset in driving the commercialization of the assigned products
- Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Product Manager, Sales, Commercialisation is essential
- A track record of gaining an understanding of customers needs and delivering excellent customer service
- A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
- Solid expertise in cash management and specifically exposure to Corporate Cards is desirable
- Proven introduction of innovation and track record of managing complex product developments and launches
- Knowledge and experience of provision of guidelines and training to stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
