Based in Kuala Lumpur, The Product Owner – One Commercial Hub is responsible for supporting the build, enablement, and business adoption of the One Commercial Hub as a trusted single source of truth for Liberty's Commercial data across APAC. As a key member of the Data & Analytics APAC team, this role works under the direction of the Data Foundation Lead and in close partnership with the Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead to ensure commercial data is structured, prioritised, and delivered in a way that supports insight generation, reporting, and decision-making. The role also works closely with the Data Governance pillar to ensure data quality, critical data elements, and minimum standards are embedded throughout delivery. This is not a lead role, but it requires strong product ownership, stakeholder management, team management and coordination across regional and in-market teams.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Product Ownership and Delivery

  • Support the delivery of the One Commercial Hub roadmap in alignment with APAC data priorities, business demand, and the regional Target Operating Model.
  • Translate business needs into a clear, prioritised product backlog, user stories, and delivery requirements for commercial data products and enablement.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs across build activities to ensure commercial data capabilities are delivered in a practical and business-relevant sequence.

Stakeholder Management and Business Partnership

  • Work closely with Commercial business stakeholders across APAC to understand priorities, pain points, and data needs, and convert these into actionable delivery requirements.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead to ensure One Commercial Hub data supports trusted reporting, insight generation, and business decision-making.
  • Work with Technology, Data Engineering, Architecture, and in-market teams to align business intent with technical delivery and sequencing.
  • Build strong working relationships across culturally diverse regional and in-market teams, using effective negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills to maintain momentum and alignment.
  • Support discussions with business and functional stakeholders to agree priorities, clarify scope, and resolve issues or competing demands.
  • Escalate key delivery risks, decisions, and dependencies to the Data Foundation Lead where leadership intervention is required.

One Commercial Hub and Data Foundation Delivery

  • Support the build and enablement of One Commercial Hub as a common, trusted, and scalable source of Commercial data across APAC.
  • Help define and refine commercial data requirements, product priorities, and release plans to ensure the Hub delivers fit-for-purpose data for reporting, analytics, and downstream business use.
  • Work with the Data Foundation Lead to align delivery to common data structures, standards, and reusable assets that reduce duplication across markets.
  • Support testing, business validation, and readiness activities to ensure delivered commercial data products are adopted and used effectively.
  • Maintain clear product documentation, requirement traceability, release notes, and decision records to support transparency and controlled delivery.
  • Promote the use of One Commercial Hub as the single source of truth for agreed Commercial data domains and measures.
  • Work with downstream consumers to ensure Commercial data is usable, understandable, and aligned to agreed business definitions and reporting needs.

Governance and Data Quality Alignment

  • Work closely with the Data Governance pillar to ensure critical data elements, data quality rules, business definitions, and minimum standards are embedded in product delivery.
  • Ensure data quality issues, control gaps, and definition mismatches are identified, tracked, and resolved through the appropriate governance and delivery forums.
  • Ensure changes to Commercial data products follow agreed governance, testing, validation, and sign-off processes.

Delivery Management and Team Contribution

  • Support delivery planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and status reporting for One Commercial Hub initiatives.
  • Manage a small number of junior resources in Malaysia Data Analytics hub by providing day-to-day direction, work allocation, and coaching to support delivery quality and development.
  • Prepare clear updates, risks, and decisions for review by the Data Foundation Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute as an APAC team member by supporting consistent ways of working, knowledge sharing, and practical problem-solving across regional and in-market teams.

Commercial Data Domain Knowledge and Compliance

  • Apply a strong understanding of Liberty's Commercial products, product structures, and business processes to shape relevant and practical data requirements.
  • Support compliance with Liberty's data governance, privacy, security, and control requirements across Commercial data delivery activities.
  • Ensure regional solutions remain practical for local market use, recognising country-specific business processes, regulatory needs, and language considerations.
  • Promote strong control discipline, attention to detail, and accountability in the handling of Commercial data and related delivery artefacts.

About you:

Key Skills:
