Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Sales Support Engineer to join our Asia Regional Technical Application Team based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Reporting to the Asia Regional Technical Team Lead in Singapore, you will provide technical expertise, application engineering support, pre-sales consulting, troubleshooting, and customer training for Carlo Gavazzi's portfolio of Sensors, Switches, Controls, and Industrial Automation solutions.
You will work closely with customers, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, R&D teams, and regional sales organizations to develop technical solutions and support successful customer projects across the Asia region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation and application support for Carlo Gavazzi Sensors, Switches, and Control products used in industrial and building automation.
- Work closely with customers, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and sales teams to understand application requirements and recommend the most suitable solutions.
- Support product selection, system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and application testing.
- Conduct customer site visits to diagnose technical issues and provide on-site engineering support.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for customers, partners, and internal sales teams.
- Coordinate product quality issues, warranty claims, and RMA activities with regional support teams and manufacturing sites.
- Support new product introductions by developing demonstration systems and technical documentation.
- Share technical knowledge and continuously develop the competencies of regional sales teams through coaching and mentoring.
- Provide feedback from the field to Product Management and R&D to support future product development.
Experience in several of the following areas is preferred:

- Solid State Relays (SSR)
- Industrial Power Meters
- Energy Management Systems
- IO-Link technology
- Industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet)
- HVAC and Building Automation
- Factory Automation
- Conveyor and Material Handling Systems
- Packaging Machinery
- PLC and HMI programming (advantage)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams
- Hands-on use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
Experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Industrial Automation
- Building Automation
- HVAC
- OEM Machine Builders
- System Integrators
- Energy Monitoring & Power Quality
- Manufacturing Automation

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Automation, Building Automation, Energy Management, Control Systems, or Technical Application Engineering.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Additional Asian languages or local dialects are considered an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of ERP & Microsoft Office applications.
