Oversee the Clean-up and Migration of Master Data from SK to GC Systems:
Review and assess current master data in current CMS for accuracy and consistency
Plan and execute the migration strategy to move data from SK to GC with minimal disruption
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the integrity of data during the migration process
Monitor and address any issues arising during the migration process, ensuring timely resolution
Understand and Implement Master Data Setups in New CMS According to Business Requirements:
Gather and analyze business requirements for master data configurations in GC
Design and implement data structures, hierarchies, and relationships within new CMS based on requirements
Ensure that master data setups align with organizational standards and support business goals
Collaborate with internal teams to align data setup with workflows and processes
Drive Small-Scale Business Enhancements and Address Specific Requirements:
Identify areas for improvement in current business processes and data management
Collaborate with business users to understand enhancement requests and define clear specifications
Implement enhancements to improve the functionality and usability of master data in new CMS
Monitor the success of business enhancements and recommend further improvements if necessary
Act as a Middle Escalation Point Between Support Team and New CMS Team for Issue Resolution:
Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations related to master data issues
Coordinate with support teams to investigate and resolve data-related issues
Act as a liaison between the vendor tech team, internal support team and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective problem-solving
Communicate updates on issue resolution to relevant parties, ensuring alignment on next steps
Pre-Cutover Preparation:
Data Mapping and Analysis: Review and map data structures from the old system to new system to ensure customer profiles, transaction history, and other relevant data fields are accurately transferred
Data Quality Assessment: Perform data cleansing to ensure only accurate, relevant, and up-to-date customer data is migrated. This may involve removing duplicates, resolving inconsistencies, and addressing missing data points
Backups and Validation: Ensure that proper data backups are in place before migration begins. Validate the data against source and target systems to identify any potential issues in advance
Cutover Execution:
Data Extraction: Extract all necessary customer profile data from the legacy system, ensuring all relevant customer information (e.g., personal details, preferences, transaction history) is included
Data Transformation: Convert and format the data into the structure required by the new system (GC in this case), ensuring compatibility with the new platform's fields and architecture
Data Load into New System: Transfer the extracted and transformed data into the new system, ensuring that all customer profiles are mapped correctly and that the data is loaded in its entirety
Minimize Downtime: Coordinate the cutover with business teams to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations, ensuring that the migration happens during a low-impact time
Post-Cutover Validation:
Data Verification: Perform a comprehensive post-migration validation to ensure all customer profiles have been successfully transferred and are functional in the new system. This includes checking for any missing or corrupt data
Testing and User Acceptance: In collaboration with business users, conduct acceptance testing to ensure the system behaves as expected with the migrated data. Address any discrepancies that may arise
Monitoring System Performance: After migration, continuously monitor the system's performance to ensure that the migrated customer data is being processed efficiently and accurately
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Escalate and Resolve Issues: Act as the escalation point if any issues arise during the migration process, such as data mismatches, missing profiles, or system downtimes. Work closely with technical teams to resolve any challenges promptly
Data Integrity and Security: Ensure that customer data security and privacy are maintained throughout the migration process, complying with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) for sensitive customer information
