Position: Product Technical Lead
Position Type: 12-Months Contract (Renewable)
Working Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Product Architecture, Design & Technical Ownership:
- Own and define the full technical architecture for all Web and Mobile applications.
- Lead the UI/UX design process using Figma, and translate requirements into high-fidelity product prototypes.
- Establish and govern the overall technology stack, frameworks, and standards for product development.
- Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design blueprints for all solutions.
- Ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and security across all product deployments.
- Evaluate and adopt modern engineering best practices, tools, and technologies to support product innovation.
Development Leadership & Delivery Execution:
- Lead, guide, and supervise developers, designers, and technical resources across projects.
- Oversee development sprints, code review cycles, backlog management, and delivery milestones.
- Ensure development quality, coding discipline, and adherence to documented design standards.
- Provide hands-on technical direction and unblock development teams when needed.
- Drive end-to-end delivery readiness, overseeing integration, testing, and acceptance phases.
- Serve as the accountable technical owner for development completion and go-live readiness.
Deployment, DevOps & Application Performance:
- Deploy Web and Mobile apps to production, including App Store and Google Play Store releases.
- Oversee environment management, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated deployment processes.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and analytics tools to track application health and performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure SLAs, uptime, and performance targets are met.
- Ensure robust security practices, data protection, and compliance controls across all environments.
Documentation, Governance & Artefacts Management:
- Maintain secure and structured storage of all development artefacts, code, and assets.
- Ensure all required documentsarchitecture diagrams, API documentation, technical guidesare up to date.
- Establish governance policies for documentation, repository management, and version control.
- Lead the team in producing technical playbooks, templates, and development standards.
Collaboration With Sales, Product & Business Development:
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales teams with technical write-ups, solution designs, and customer presentations.
- Participate in customer engagements, scoping sessions, and technical feasibility assessments.
- Provide estimates, solutioning support, and product insights during business development cycles.
- Align product technical strategy with customer expectations and commercial objectives.
AI, Emerging Tech & Innovation Enablement:
- Possess high-level understanding of AI, automation tools, LLMs, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Understand blockchain fundamentals to guide feasibility, integration, and architectural decisions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose adoption paths to enhance product competitiveness.
- Provide technical direction for proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives within product teams.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in full-stack development, technical architecture, or product engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Web technologies (React, Angular, Vue, Next.js) and Mobile technologies (Flutter, React Native).
- Experience deploying applications on Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design and prototype development.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, DevOps workflows, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience leading development teams and managing end-to-end software delivery.
- Exposure to AI/ML tools, APIs, and high-level blockchain concepts.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
