Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be plan and implement proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience to create market demand and need for specific features or products. Building long-term customer relationships and identifying and developing sales opportunities by introducing, presenting, and educating the target audience about ABB products and tools.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are ABB valued Customers, Design Institutes, Technical Consultants, and internal Marketing, Sales and Segment Teams .
You will be mainly accountable for:
Implementing proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group with marketing, sales and segment team.
Creating plans for target audience visits and conducting regular status reviews with Segment and Sales Teams, including analyzing and deriving the insights and output of the visits.
Ensuring a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities.
Providing customer support by responding to technical questions, supporting design advisory and performing electrical calculations for the design institutes and technical consultants to enable project prescription.
Communicating details with the target audience in accordance with ABB's offering and strategy. Conducting and organizing appropriate training interventions to educate the target audience on ABB products, systems, services, and offerings.
Managing administrative tasks in technical promotion processes and creates reports based on the organization's needs.
Responsible for troubleshooting post sales cycle for products and solutions sold to customers.
Support development of direct and indirect accounts by providing technical support and advisory.

Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or technical promotion roles within the electrification, building automation, or industrial solutions sector.
Strong background in account management and customer development, with a proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer and partner relationships.
Solid foundation in electrical engineering with a well-established network within the building, residential, or smart power segment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Self-motivated and results-driven professional with a customer-centric mindset and strong technical presentation capabilities.
