Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support daily production operations for Body Shop, Paint Shop, and Assembly lines to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Monitor production performance, identify issues, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and layout changes
  • Support new model introduction, minor changes, trials, and SOP readiness activities
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support problem‑solving using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D, 5‑Why)
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and suppliers on manufacturing issues
  • Support equipment, tooling, and jig improvement activities including trials and buy‑off
  • Ensure compliance with automotive quality systems, safety standards, and company procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2–5 years experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in Body, Paint, and/or Assembly operations
  • Knowledge of automotive production processes and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP, Kaizen, and 5S practices
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Willing to work on the shop floor and support shift or overtime requirements
  • Proficient in English; Bahasa Malaysia required (additional languages an advantage)
