The company manufactures oil-immersed transformers up to 40 MVA and 69 kV, as well as cast resin transformers up to 6.3 MVA. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role based in Seremban. The Production Engineer will oversee daily transformer production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and delivery requirements. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating production schedules, monitoring workflow, and optimizing resource utilization on the shop floor. The role involves analyzing process performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects. The Production Engineer will collaborate closely with quality, design, maintenance, and procurement teams, prepare production reports, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions for any production issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with experience in manufacturing environments (preferably in electrical or heavy industry).
  • Proficiency in Production Planning and scheduling, including capacity planning and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Control, including in-process inspection, compliance with standards, and use of basic quality tools.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills for troubleshooting process issues, interpreting production data, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Effective Communication skills for clear coordination with operators, engineers, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications; experience with ERP or production management systems is beneficial.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced production environment.
