Your Job

As a Production Engineer (Molding), you will oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality manufacturing output. You will support the achievement of production targets, maintain safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Team

You will report to the Molding Manager and work closely with Production, Maintenance, Materials, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, HR, Finance, MIS, Sales, and vendor control teams. You will also lead and support Assistant Supervisors, Production Leaders, Manufacturing Assistants, Manufacturing Specialists, and Operators.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee production line activities to achieve quality, output, and delivery targets.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Toolmakers to ensure timely completion of production orders.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate production team members to drive performance and compliance.
  • Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and minimise downtime and defects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare management reports.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve production-related issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Align production schedules with customer demand and business requirements.
  • Conduct daily production meetings to communicate targets, priorities, safety reminders, and updates.
  • Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with PPE and safety procedures.
  • Take corrective actions when production or quality targets are not met.
  • Assign tasks, manage attendance, and provide on-the-job coaching to team members.
  • Identify and implement improvements to workflows, layouts, and operating methods.
  • Monitor molding KPIs and drive productivity improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
  • Improve operational efficiency through optimisation of headcount utilisation, operator-to-machine ratios, and manufacturing performance.
  • Drive efforts to reduce customer complaints and improve product quality.
  • Support company initiatives related to Social Responsibility, TS16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TQM, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Lead waste reduction, COPQ, cost-saving, and value creation initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and injection molding operations.
  • Experience with Scientific Moulding, Process Optimisation, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE/POEE improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using SAP, MES, Fusion OpsCenter, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, quality systems, waste reduction, COPQ, and cost-saving initiatives.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience in high-volume injection molding operations.
  • Hands-on experience driving productivity, efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of TS16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and TQM requirements.
  • Familiarity with Hi-Coat processes and advanced molding technologies.
  • Proven success in delivering cost-saving and value creation projects.
