Production Intern (3-6 Months Internship)
Hepmil Malaysia is a digital content and creator agency that connects brands with young audiences through hyper-localized entertaining content. Home to pages like MGAG and Hepmil Creator's Network, we're looking for a Production Intern who eats, sleeps, and breathes visual storytelling, and wants to learn what it takes to bring chaotic, hilarious content from script to screen.
Responsibilities
Post-Production & Editing (Primary Focus)
- Perform assembly edits, rough cuts, and final polishes on video assets to keep our post-production pipeline moving fast.
- Incorporate engaging motion graphics, text animations, and visual effects to elevate the storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with the MGAG team and creators to ensure the visual assets match the intended creative vision, brand guidelines, and pacing.
- Manage media assets by offloading, organizing, and backing up raw footage and project files.
Pre-Production & Logistics
- Assist the MGAG team in preparing asset lists, organizing props, and planning visual elements for upcoming shoots.
- Help manage production schedules and coordinate with creators and talents to ensure smooth workflows.
On-Set Support
- Assist on set with continuity, taking notes, and supporting the crew to keep shoots running efficiently and on time.
Requirements
- Core Editing Skills: A strong interest and foundation in video editing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience or proficiency in the following tools is required (Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop)
- The MGAG Spirit: A great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a sharp understanding of local humor and regional internet culture. You should be someone who can handle quick turnarounds and loves solving creative problems on the fly.
- Experience with physical filmmaking, DSLR/mirrorless camera handling, audio recording, or setting up basic studio lighting is a plus.
