An established precision manufacturing company in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and strengthen its CNC machining production operations.
The role is responsible for overall CNC production performance, including production planning, machine-capacity utilization, manpower allocation, cost control, productivity, quality, delivery performance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also play an important role in developing the capabilities of local production supervisors, CNC team leaders and technical personnel through structured coaching and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute CNC machining production strategies to achieve quality, cost, productivity and delivery targets.
- Plan and manage CNC machine capacity, production schedules, manpower allocation, tooling requirements and delivery commitments.
- Monitor machine utilization, production output, yield, downtime, rejection, rework, cycle time and overall production efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks, machine constraints and process limitations and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Establish and improve production-control systems to enhance production flow, utilization, yield and on-time delivery.
- Manage production budgets, operating costs, tooling expenditure and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate requirements and investments for CNC machinery, tooling, fixtures and supporting production equipment.
- Lead Production Supervisors, CNC Team Leaders and production personnel through effective delegation, coaching and performance management.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for machine downtime, production delays, process instability and quality issues.
- Develop standardized CNC production procedures, performance-monitoring systems and manufacturing best practices.
- Support new product introduction, installation of new CNC machinery and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental requirements, quality standards and customer specifications.
- Develop local production personnel through structured technical coaching, practical training and progressive transfer of production-management responsibilities.
