Job Summary
Lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, product quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Drive operational excellence through effective production planning, continuous improvement, process optimization, and people development while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations
- Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Plan, organize, allocate resources, and direct all aspects of the production process to maximize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Production Planning teams to develop and execute production schedules that meet customer requirements.
2. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive a strong quality culture with the mindset of Do It Right the First Time.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvement solutions.
3. Technical & Quality Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues arising during assembly and testing processes.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure timely implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing quality standards.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Quality Assurance, MIS, Stores, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow and product quality.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing performance.
5. People Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators to build a high-performing manufacturing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with company policies, ISO standards, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment through compliance with workplace health and safety practices.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with proven experience managing assembly and testing operations, including leading technicians and production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the automation, machinery, or equipment manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of equipment assembly processes, Bill of Materials (BOM) structure, PFMEA, Control Plans, and manufacturing best practices.
- Proficient in CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
